Siva Vaidhyanathan’s Googlization blog

I am remiss not to have mentioned Siva Vaidhyanathan’s new blog about Google and the implications of their projects: The Googlization of Everything. It’s really top notch commentary on Google, with further depth, detail and comprehensiveness than is usually found in a blog. Note that Siva says it is a book in progress.

  4. Well, we all have to choose our battles.

He’s worried about the message (i.e. the content). In a networked world, I’m far more worried about the massager (i.e. the network).

I think AT&T & Friends are far more problematic than Google ever could hope to be.

That’s where I focus my nightmares.

  5. In defense of Google, it provides a great search engine which has helped revolutionize the speed and method in which people obtain information.

  6. Coming at this VERY late to offer a link to an audio of Mr. Vaidhyanathan’s Windsor lecture at the University of Illinois. It was dynamic and brilliant. I learned so much from him about Google and its implications to libraries.
